Lennys LegacySupporting parents after baby loss or child death in Sheffield and South Yorkshire

Based in Sheffield, Lenny’s Legacy is a registered charity (No: 1201987) aimed at supporting bereaved parents throughout Yorkshire and across the UK online. We (Roy and Mim) founded the charity in loving memory of our two sons Lenny and Bhai. Our boys tragically died at different ages and in unrelated circumstances - so we are uniquely placed to support baby and child loss in all its forms. Our charity is here to support no matter your type of loss or when it happened.

Our support is varied and includes group and individual support which is delivered both in-person locally and online - so you can choose the right support for you at the right time.

Watch the Lenny’s Legacy short film: a deeply personal film with universal themes.

Filmed only a year after Lenny died, this short video documents a cycling challenge. It is a real-time exploration about how we found light in the darkness of profound grief and loss. It is for everybody and is about the power of hope and togetherness in uncertain and challenging times.

    Feedback

Finding Lenny's Legacy was like finding a comforting hug and a bit of hope after my baby died, and the Pilates classes felt like a real gap in the support available to loss mums.

Lenny's Legacy is the only support I have had since my child died, I am so grateful for the knowledge and expertise but also the chance to meet other people who get it

It is hard to put into words how much it means to have spaces like this where our babies are remembered, celebrated and honoured, and where we can feel a little less alone in something that can feel so incredibly lonely

This is the only support of this kind for bereaved mums, exercising together is a great tool in the grieving process alongside excellent emotional support

You got me through the darkest depths of my grief, it has been a lifeline, the combination of physical and emotional support individually and in groups enables me to cope

I write the support groups in my diary and I like knowing I don't have long to wait - these allow me to continue with work etc

This is the only place I feel comfortable to talk about my child and the only place that people see me as a dad

It is so helpful for bereaved parents to have that bit of time to themselves - we all know exercise helps us feel better emotionally but it can be hard to motivate yourself to do something. I loved the opportunity to exercise alongside others who had been through it and I really liked being able to ask questions.

I think what you do as a charity is amazing, offering this to bereaved parents, if I could do it every single week I would, I hope you can continue to offer it to other mums because it is brilliant.

We warmly invite all bereaved parents to access our support and to attend our events. All our support is provided free of charge for bereaved parents. Many of our events are supported by donations.
