The Team
We are a small and friendly team. Our team brings a combination of personal experiences, passion, and professional expertise.
I am responsible for the running of the charity. I facilitate the groups and lead on the individual Grief Coaching. Prior to founding Lenny's Legacy, I already had a wealth of experience working with people at vulnerable times in their lives. I am a registered Social Worker and hold an MSc in Psychology which informs my work. Since starting the charity, my professional development has centred around supporting people in grief and loss, including becoming a certified grief coach. My real expertise comes from my own personal experiences following the deaths of my two sons and from supporting hundreds of bereaved parents and listening carefully to their stories. I love bikes and dogs and both of these passions have been central to how I carry my grief.
I volunteer for Lenny's Legacy - I offer a dad's perspective in groups, at events and in our online blogs. I am passionate about the outdoors and what being in nature can do for our sense of wellbeing. I organise the outdoor events for the charity and lead on the Dad's Walking Group. Like many bereaved parents, I had a career change after Lenny and Bhai died - after a decade as a Physics teacher, I now run a building and landscaping company. Being in the mountains is where I feel closest to Lenny and Bhai - through my work with Lenny's Legacy I hope to offer others a small slice of this. I feel strongly that as bereaved parents, we all have our own 'parenting energy' and how we express that will be different for all of us.
The Trustees who support Lenny's Legacy
I'm Chair of Trustees for Lenny's Legacy. My role is to help make sure the charity is well governed and sustainable, so that Mim and Roy can focus on what the charity exists to do: being there and walking alongside bereaved parents through grief coaching, groups, and peer support. Roy and Mim's story showed me how isolating baby loss can be, and how much it changes things when parents are directly supported rather than left to carry it alone, not just in the immediate aftermath, but for as long as they need. That support reaching families in honour of Lenny and Bhai makes this one of the most important roles I've held.
I'm a director in the utilities industry, and I've been involved with Sheffield charities as a volunteer and trustee since 2017. Outside of work and charity life, I love exploring everything vibrant Sheffield has to offer, and occasionally make some noise in a few bands playing originals and covers!
Alex is a chartered accountant, qualifying with pwc over ten years ago, and is currently finance director of an aim listed green tech business based in Sheffield. When not at work he is normally found out in the peaks, either on the bike or on foot. Carrying on the legacy of Lenny and Bhai is a real privilege and Alex is positive about the impact Lenny's Legacy can have for those who need it.
I am a trustee for the charity. I have worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years as a Midwife. Throughout this time I have supported many people and families who have suffered loss in pregnancy and afterwards. There is limited support available for such families, which is why this charity is crucial to the people across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK. I hope to use my experience in working in midwifery to help promote the charity's work, the support available, and to increase awareness of baby and child loss and the impact this has.
I am a Mum and all my children have grown up so it's lovely getting to spend quality time socialising with them. Having recently left the NHS I am hoping to soon become a foster carer.
Collaborators
I'm Jenni, I lead the exercise part of the Pilates and Wellbeing course as,”The PABL Project” for Lenny's Legacy. I am an HCPC registered Physiotherapist with a special interest in postpartum care for bereaved mums. Through my friend's tragic loss of her baby, I became aware that many bereaved mums are not offered the support they need to care for their postpartum bodies. I founded The PABL Project to ensure that bereaved mums have the information and support they need when they need it, in a way which is sensitive to loss.
I have worked with Lenny's Legacy since they registered as a charity and have been delivering the Pilates and Wellbeing course with them since 2024. It is a real privilege to see how mums reconnect with their bodies, process their trauma through exercise and build emotional strength through peer support. I am proud to deliver this work through Lenny's Legacy - I share their values, I think their work is important and Mim and Roy have become friends not just colleagues.
I'm Siobhan (Shiv), I am the owner of Unit 16 gym and I host and lead Lenny's Legacy Strength Training sessions. I'm a strength and conditioning coach as well as a competing athlete. I am passionate about encouraging people of all abilities and backgrounds into strength training. I am proud to deliver these sessions for Lenny's Legacy Charity and whilst nothing can fix grief - I know that strength training has a range of physical and emotional health benefits from boosting confidence to lifting mood. The sessions are helpful for parents to come together to use strength training as a tool to process their emotions in grief in a safe, supportive and private space. I truly believe in the power of community and bringing people together to form lasting friendships in a safe, supportive and private space. Lenny, Bhai, Mim, Roy and their living daughter, Raya mean a lot to me and the cause is particularly close to my heart.
I'm Elle, a clinical hypnotherapist, bereaved mum to my three triplets Noah, Eden and Hudson and a rainbow mum. I use my personal experiences and professional expertise to support bereaved mums. I lead the hypnotherapy sessions which are funded and hosted by Lenny's Legacy Charity. The sessions take place online and you can do them in the comfort of your own home, each series of sessions tends to have an overarching theme. I really enjoy working with Lenny's Legacy as I think they are very unique and have a supportive community spirit. If you haven't had hypnotherapy before, you can expect a sense of deep relaxation without any work on your part - Mim and I tend to introduce and close the sessions and there is plenty of opportunity for questions. It has been powerful for me to see how beneficial hypnotherapy can be for large groups online. I also offer 1:1 sessions and have founded a specialised approach known as the Loss Mama Method - for more information please contact me via social media.
I'm Freya, I lead on the 'Creative Together' sessions for Lenny's Legacy as a volunteer. I have been a supporter of the charity since the start and created some artwork for Lenny and Bhai in the early days of Mim and Roy's loss. I work for the civil service, but much of my spare time is spent doing art - I even have a studio in my house! I know how powerful creative expression can be for those experiencing grief and trauma and I understand that sometimes art has a space where words don't suffice. The sessions for Lenny's Legacy are much more about the process than about the finished product -no one has to worry about being, 'good' at it or creating something which needs to be displayed. I have noticed that some people welcome quiet time whilst doing something creative and others find that they are able to speak more freely whilst they are focused on a creative task. It is a real privilege to learn more about your babies and children, to share skills and to be with you however you are on the day. If you would like to see more of my artwork, please see my social media.
